As a sophomore at Fairfield University, my friends and I sold branded key chains in the dorms. That was 1991. I’ve been selling branded merchandise—swag—ever since.
It was an honor to work with my dad and hero, Barry Resnick, on this very order and as his business partner for fourteen years. He taught me how to sell printed products and solutions, but more importantly than that, he showed me how to build relationships—through kindness, big smiles, genuine concern for others, and dependability.
In 2019, I joined American Solutions for Business. It’s an absolute joy working for an employee-owned company that supports me in every possible way. Every day, I strive to build better relationships, improve my skills and product knowledge, and offer the right solutions for their current needs. Just like Dad taught me.
Outside of my 30+ years working with friends, customers, and colleagues within the industry, I like to fish, golf, cook, bake, coach, and write, though not necessarily in that order. In 2022 I published my first book, Ten Days With Dad: Finding Purpose, Passion, & Peace During The Darkest Days Of Alzheimer’s And COVID-19. In 2023, I published, The Greatest Burden The Greatest Blessing: Caregiving Stories of Hope, Humility, and Love. Dad would be proud; there’s no doubt about that. But like all great endeavors, it’s what you learn along the way that leaves a lasting impact. Everything I learned from him are part of my books, along with many other experiences that shaped me as a person, husband, father, and branded merch specialist.
